Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green became a hot topic on the team’s 120-97 win against the Orlando Magic on Monday. During the second half, Green got into a heated exchange with coach Steve Kerr. After their interaction on the bench, the four-time champion headed back to the locker room and did not return to the game.
Both Green and Kerr acknowledged that they had a bit of a rift during the game. They also confirmed that the player decided to leave the game and head to the locker room. The four-time All-Star told the media after the game that he thought it was better if he removed himself from the game.
On Tuesday, former NBA player Kenyon Martin questioned Green’s maturity and how he dealt with the situation. Martin talked about the Warriors star in the recent episode of “Gil’s Arena.”
“Let’s call a spade a spade. When should the person f***ing grow up. He’s 35 not 25. In this situation he has been in,” Martin said.

The one-time All-Star questioned how he couldn’t reach a compromise with someone with whom he has won championships.
“How can someone who you’ve had this much success with, get you to that level?”
Draymond Green’s former teammate, Nick Young, defended him, saying that his decision to walk away from the game was a sign of maturity. However, Martin and the others disagreed.
Stephen Curry smartly deflected the question about Draymond Green and Steve Kerr

Although the Warriors won against the Magic, the attention was on Draymond Green’s heated interaction with Steve Kerr. Even Stephen Curry, who had 26 points in the win, was asked about it by the media during his postgame presser. However, he smartly deflected the question and gave the attention to Golden State’s win.
“The questions are a little bit more negative than they should be,” Curry said.
“I get why you’re asking them, but downstairs right now, the DJ has a good playlist going, the guys are getting their work in and we’re having a good time because we’re winning.”
ESPN’s Ramona Shleburne confirmed that Green had a chance to talk to Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. after what happened. The reporter also said that a punishment is unlikely to be given to Draymond Green.
