Kawhi Leonard‘s newest teammate has the ultimate compliment about him. Many players showed their growth during the summer as the Los Angeles Clippers began their training camp. Bradley Beal, one of the additions during free agency, was active in the team’s training session. On Monday, he was asked which of his new teammates stood out the most in practice. The three-time All-Star mentioned three players, including Leonard.
The Clippers believe they have a championship group under the star tandem of Leonard and James Harden. Over the summer, the team added more veterans to the roster, making them the oldest team entering the 2025-26 season. Despite being the oldest team in the entire league, they believe they have enough to contend for an NBA championship.
In Beal’s first training camp with his new group, the former All-Star pointed out that Leonard, Harden and Brook Lopez stood out the most in practices.

He offered his candid opinion of the two-time Finals MVP while discussing Leonard. According to Beal, he sees the six-time All-Star as one of the best players to ever touch the basketball.
“I’ve never been around Kawhi. So being around Kawhi every day — he’s a freak of nature… One of the best to ever touch a ball. Same with JH. Just their work ethic when it comes to this game is unmatched. And I’d say Brook Lopez. He’s definitely been the biggest — I’d say the loudest difference maker in the gym on both ends of the floor,” the former Washington Wizards star said.
Bradley Beal said Kawhi Leonard is the Clippers player standing out the most in training camp.
He also mentioned James Harden and Brook Lopez.

The addition of Beal gives Leonard and Harden another offensive option. He may not be the same star as he once was, but the 6-foot-4 guard can still make a significant contribution.
Harden provided an optimistic update on Kawhi Leonard

Throughout his stint with the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard has struggled to stay healthy. Since 2019, he’s only appeared in 266 games, which has been a major concern for the fans and the team. On Saturday, Harden was asked about Leonard’s health heading into the new year.
Fans loved his answer since it was an optimistic take on what could be seen from Leonard.
“He looks season form,” Harden said. “He’s been putting the work in all summer. He’s been aggressive. He looks like Kawhi. Which is beneficial for our team. It’s always that moment, ‘When Kawhi’s coming back?’ Or whatever the case may be. He’s here. He looks really, really good. And our team looks really, really good.”
Since the Clippers acquired Leonard, they’ve only been in the Western Conference once, in 2021. The team wants to replicate that level of success this season.
