There were thoughts that Kelly Oubre won’t be suiting up for the Philadelphia 76ers this season after reports claimed that he was on the trading block. He himself thought that, too, that he aired out his frustration on social media not too long after the rumors hit the internet.

Oubre felt that the Sixers organization is not returning his sacrifice despite him playing through pain the whole season that saw their stars unavailable most of the time.
“What happened to this place? And for those saying I’m garbage because my 3% went down,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Still put up numbers and l’d Still cook you. I played through finger surgery’s on my (left hand) thumb and pinky for three years, but still put my soul in this shit. That’s one thing only GOD can take from me. Hope to see y’all soon. Godspeed.”

Oube arrived in Philadelphia in 2023 and have been a steady member of their core. He played 60 games last season and started in 57 averaging 15.1 points per game. He posted 15.4 points per game the season before that. The 34.6 minutes per game is the most he has played in his NBA career.
Kelly Oubre is standing by his fiery comments
He is not going anywhere. The 76ers social media account posted a series of workout photos on X featuring him and the main core of the team.
Oubre is not going to take back his comments though. He said he felt his side was not heard but now that everything has been cleared, he is now more about giving his best for the franchise.
“Well, I’m not gonna apologize for the things that I say, because nobody’s gonna do the same to me, but at the end of the day, it was just an accumulation of lack thereof discussion or trying to ex me out of the equation and I’m here,” Oubre said during the team’s media day.

“I’m all in. I wear this jersey for a reason, because I want to, so therefore it was just kind of like the fan pages and all the people who represent the Sixers, not in this building, of course. It was just something to just let you guys know that I’m still here.”
