Aaliyah Edwards, Washington Mystics forward, was recently seen promoting a financial literacy event among high-school students, along with Washington Commanders linebacker, Bobby Wagner. The event, conducted by Intuit Financial Literacy Forum, is aimed at helping high school students improve their financial skills.

Aaliyah Edwards shared pictures on her Instagram from the important event, which included one where she is holding up a Washington Commanders jersey with her name on it. She also posted another pick where is posing with Bobby Wagner, towering over the 34-year-old Washington linebacker.

“New side quest?” Aaliyah Edwards captioned one of the pics where she is holding up the Commanders jersey.

“Had a great time at the Intuit Financial Literacy Forum with @bwagz, designed to empower local high school students with essential financial skills.” Edwards wrote on another Instagram post where she posed with Wagner at the event conducted by Intuit.

Aaliyah Edwards is currently gearing up for the upcoming WNBA season which will kick off in May. Edwards has been playing for the Washington Mystics since the previous season, after she was selected by the team as the sixth overall pick in the very first round of the WNBA draft. Before that, Edwards played college basketball for the UConn Huskies from 2020 to 2024.

Apart from playing in the WNBA, Edwards has also represented Canada on an international level. The 22-year-old managed to win the bronze medal with her team at the 2023 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup and the silver medal in the 2019, in Puerto Rico.
