Adam Silver, commissioner of the NBA, is under some serious fire for the way he addressed the whole Kawhi Leonard drama with the LA Clippers. The Clippers apparently found a loophole to ensure payments to Leonard around the salary cap. Silver, the Clippers and Leonard himself have been continuously called out, especially after reports by renowned sports journalist Pablo Torre.

Torre is pretty well-known for his incredible ability to dig up stuff on things related to players and teams that no one else has been able to get to. Torre, in a recent episode of his podcast, gave way more detailed information about the entire debacle surrounding Leonard and the Clippers, which sucked Silver deeper into confusion. This was highlighted by David Samson, a former president of the Miami Marlins MLB team.

“All Adam Silver should’ve said is ‘we have an ongoing investigation, we appreciate everybody’s interest in this. We’re in the middle of it, it’s a serious investigation done by serious people, we’ll get back to you when we know something,’ But Adam Silver did not stop at that. For a reason that he’s gonna wake up this morning in regret. Because when Adam Silver talked to the media yesterday, he hadn’t seen Pablo Torre’s episode that just released this morning,” Former Miami Marlins president, David Samson said about NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver.

With Adam Silver announcing that he is looking into the matter, the LA Clippers franchise itself has come forward to admit that they have done nothing wrong. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has also claimed this. But after Torres’ latest reports, the team has been facing some serious backlash.

Adam Silver Speaks Out On Malik Beasley’s Gambling

Adam Silver was also asked recently about NBA player Malik Beasley’s gambling case. Beasley is being accused of placing prop bets during the 23-24 NBA season for which he is facing federal charges. Beasley’s lawyer sometime back confirmed that the federal probe against his client no longer applies.

“I’ll only say the investigation is ongoing. As I understand it, there’s still a federal investigation that’s ongoing of Malik Beasley as well.” Commissioner of the NBA, Adam Silver said about the investigation surrounding Malik Beasley’s gambling.

Malik Beasley played for the Milwaukee Bucks in the season in which he has been accused of placing prop bets. The talented shooting guard then played a season for the Detroit Pistons in which he managed an 11.7 point average.
