A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo have been stepping more into the public eye as a couple lately, showing support for each other’s careers. But when it came to a simple question—who’d win in a one-on-one?—Wilson didn’t blink.
“Me,” she said straight up when asked during the Orange Carpet media run.

Pressed about what the score might look like, she shrugged and smiled. “I don’t know. It would be a good game.”
Still, she made it clear where her confidence stands.
“But I am always gonna say me. I don’t care who you put me up against. I’mma always bet on myself.”

Wilson was making her seventh All-Star appearance this past weekend—another milestone in a career full of them. Adebayo, meanwhile, was courtside for the festivities, showing love and soaking it all in as her hype man.
A’ja Wilson Gets Honest About CBA Frustrations
A day before the main event, she joined other WNBA players in a meeting with league officials to talk about the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. From the sound of it, the talks didn’t go too far.
“When we see the revenue, when we see things flowing into our league, we want that,” Wilson told reporters. “We are going to demand that because we see it and we see the growth.”

A’ja Wilson didn’t hold back. For her, this is about way more than basketball—it’s about protecting the future for herself and the next wave of W players.
“This is no moment just right now,” she added. “We’re talking about long-term stuff. This is a business. This is a brand. You’re dealing with me, my livelihood and my future, the next generation.”
Wilson also acknowledged that a lockout could be on the table if no deal is reached by October—but made it clear no one wants to get to that point.
All-Star weekend was a celebration, sure. But Wilson made sure her voice was heard, too.
