A’ja Wilson was definitely not happy with Rachel Nichols’ latest interview with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Nichols asked SGA if Sam Presti would be present at the sonogram of Wilson and her boyfriend Bam Adebayo’s future child.
While the sports journalist tried her hardest to be jokey, her comments were definitely not liked by many fans, including Wilson herself. SGA did not react much to the remark but chose to respond to it in a diplomatic manner. Wilson commented on the remarks through her Threads account and called it a “slow day in the office.”

“Sam takes his job very seriously and whatever it takes to be great, he will do so if that’s what it takes, that’s what it takes.” Shai Gilgeous-Alexander answered Rachel Nichols.

“Yall don’t think this is a lil strange orrr weird…??? But I guess it’s a slow day in the office (face with tightly closed mouth emoji)” A’ja Wilson reacted from her Threads account.
A’ja Wilson, some time ago, revealed that she definitely wanted to have children someday with Bam Adebayo, whom she has been dating for a while now. Ever since Wilson made those remarks, there have been memes and jokes going around, mainly about the incredibly athletic nature of the couple’s future kids.
Wilson also revealed that she often trains with Adebayo and makes him guard her. While Wilson is undoubtedly a talented hooper, she has to time and again remind Adebayo that they play in two very different leagues.
A’ja Wilson Wins AP Press Female Athlete Of The Year
Meanwhile, A’ja Wilson has won not just one, but two incredible accolades towards the end of this year. After winning TIME magazine’s Athlete of the Year award, Wilson was named the Female Athlete of the Year by the Associated Press. Incidentally, Caitlin Clark won both of these awards last time out.

“It’s an honor when you think about the group of women who have won before. Just to have my name be a part of it, I’m blessed,” A’ja Wilson said about her winning the title.
Wilson won most of the votes in the list, which also named Paige Bueckers for the title. Napheesa Collier of the Lynx also made it to the list, but got only one vote, while Wilson won with 17 votes. The athlete who got the second-highest votes was Aryna Sabalenka, who has wowed with her tennis skills this year.
