In a post over at social media platform X, A’ja Wilson got support from teammate Megan Gustafson for the launching of the WNAB MVP’s signature shoe line.

“A really has her own shoe!!!” Gustaffson wrote in her post. “If there’s anyone to look up to, @_ajawilson22 is the O’NE. An amazing player but an even better human and teammate!!”

A’ja Wilson and Megan Gustafson have been teammates on the Las Vegas Aces since February 2024, when Gustafson signed with the team.

Before joining the Las Vegas Aces, Megan Gustafson played for several teams in her professional basketball career. She was drafted by the Dallas Wings in 2019 and later played for the Washington Mystics and Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA. Additionally, Gustafson competed internationally, representing Olympiacos Piraeus in Greece and the London Lions in the EuroLeague.

Aj’Ja Wilson talks ABout Her Signature Shoe Line

In a press release, A’ja Wilson expressed her pride in the design of her signature shoe, which has been two years in the making.

“The A’One is meant to go the distance, taking control from the jump and dominating the floor on every play,” Wilson said about her shoe. “From the beginning, we designed the shoe to both support my game and to provide young hoopers a tool to help them level up. The A’One aces that assignment, delivering exactly what I need to push my performance and inspiring the next generation to give it their all on every play.”

“In A’ja, the next generation has a beacon to look to—an inspiration point,” Ben Nethongkome, lead designer for the A’One said. “We designed the Nike A’One so that when girls lace up, they channel A’ja’s encouragement through her footwear, knowing they can be like her one day.”

The Las Vegas Aces MVP star also shared her feelings on the emotion she wants to convey through her shoe design.

“When athletes wear my shoe or any of the pieces from my collection, I want them to feel the power behind that logo: the power to dream big, then put in the work—in style and confidence,” she said.

“My first A’One collection reflects both my vision for the future of the game and the inspirations that fuel my performance and style every day.”

    A’ja Wilson has been a two-time WNBA Champion, a three-time MVP, and a six-time All-Star.
