Aliyah Boston, Indiana Fever power forward, posted a visual treat for her fans and followers through her latest Instagram post. On Tuesday, Boston put up a picture of a beautiful blue sky kissing a blue horizon, which in fact turns out to be her hometown, Saint Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. Boston was born in Saint Thomas and was educated in Massachusetts at Worcester Academy.

Boston has been making the best use of her time off by visiting her birthplace right before the hectic WNBA season kicks off in May. Like so many other WNBA players, Boston also played in the inaugural season of the Unrivaled League for the Vinyl BC. Boston’s performance in the team was spectacular, and the team managed to make it to the finals, eventually losing to the Rose basketball club.

“Like wow this is home,” Aliyah Boston captioned her Instagram story, showing off the beauty of Saint Thomas.

After impressing in the Worcester Academy in Massachusetts, Aliyah Boston went on to play college basketball for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2019 to 2023. She then was selected by the Indiana Fever as the first overall pick in the very first round of the WNBA draft. In her first season with the league, Boston was crowned the ‘WNBA Rookie of the Year’.

Aliyah Boston’s College Team, South Carolina, Makes It To Sweet 16 Round

On another note, Aliyah Boston’s college basketball team, the South Carolina Gamecocks, are gearing up to face the Maryland Terrapins for the Sweet 16 round this weekend. South Carolina got their ticket to the Sweet 16 matchup after winning against the Indiana Hoosiers in the NCAA Second Round.

Against Indiana, South Carolina managed to win with a final score of 64-53, after Bree Hall chalked up 11 points, grabbing three rebounds and assisting thrice. Sania Feagin and Chloe Kitts each matched ten points for the team, while Te-Hina Paopao and Tessa Johnson each put up nine points against the Indiana Hoosiers.

The South Carolina Gamecocks finished their regular season in the second position of the Southeastern table with a 15-1 conference score and 32-3 overall. The team finished just one spot below the ruling Texas Longhorns who were 33-3 overall on the season.
