After a controversial NBA All-Star snub, the NBA announced that Houston Rockets star Alperen Sengun will be at the 2026 All-Star Game in LA. Sengun was considered to be one of the biggest snubs of the event after the reserves were announced. The Turkish star is having one of the best seasons of his career, but he was overshadowed by other stars.
After his All-Star snub, Sengun had a statement game in a 118-114 win over the Indiana Pacers. The big man had 39 points, 16 rebounds and five assists. While fans thought he had no way of getting into the All-Star Game, a door opened up for him.
Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander suffered an abdominal strain and will miss the annual event. The league announced Sengun as the replacement.

After the NBA’s announcement, fans revealed their thoughts on Sengun’s second All-Star selection.
“Well deserved. He’s really good and his motor is amazing,” a fan said.
“He should’ve been selected at first place,” another fan commented.
“That was a mistake that he didn’t selected at the first place. The NBA has now rectified this situation,” one fan said.
“Justice at last. Alpi he earned his spot,” someone commented.
“He clearly deserved to be selected earlier,” a comment read.
“SENGUN MY GOAT IS BACK 🔥🔥🔥” an excited fan replied.
This season, Alperen Sengun has appeared in 44 games, averaging 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists.
