Angel Reese was all hyped up after seeing her brother Julian Reese’s recent pictures on Instagram. On Wednesday, The Maryland Terrapins forward shared photos of himself on his social media page wearing his jersey and striking poses for the camera with a basketball in hand.

Julian, much like his sister, is born for basketball. Just a year younger than Angel, he stands at 6-foot-9 and weighs in at 252 pounds. He is entering his senior year at Maryland.

The 22-year-old Angel is nothing short of a proud sister with the comment she left on her baby brother’s Instagram post. Her three-word reaction spelled excitement despite the misspellings.

Julian and Angel Reese’s parents were also basketball players in their youth. Their father, Michael Reese, played for Boston College and Maryland’s Loyola University, while their mother, Angel Webb Reese, played professionally in Luxembourg.

Angel had a spectacular start to her professional career, becoming a key player for the Chicago Sky and breaking numerous single-season rookie records.

Angel Reese and brother Julian join a TikTok video trend

Angel Reese is currently enjoying her time off from the WNBA while rehabilitating her surgically repaired left wrist. She recently uploaded a TikTok video where she and her brother Julian Reese joined a dance bandwagon.

In the video, the Reese siblings could be seen dancing to the song going viral on TikTok recently, “Disco” by Surf Curse.

The two were initially facing the camera, vibing to the tune. They then turned to face each other, with Angel first leading the steps and Julian following. Many fans were amused at the siblings’ attempt to perform the dance, with one fan calling them “goofy.”

Angel Reese’s rookie season ended prematurely in early September after the Sky’s 92-78 win over the Los Angeles Sparks, the game in which she also extended her single-season double-double record to 26. Before her injury, she was averaging 13.6 points on 39.1% shooting, 13.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks, playing an average of 32.5 minutes per game across 34 games. She was also in fierce competition with Caitlin Clark for the Rookie of the Year honor, which the Indiana Fever star eventually took home.

While waiting for the next WNBA season, Reese has signed up to play in Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier’s “Unrivaled” league, which will debut in January next year. She is looking to heal up in time to be back in her competitive shape to participate in the three-on-three tournament.

For the meantime, the “Chi-Town Barbie” will be doing side quests.
