Chicago Sky star Angel Reese recently went out to defend Chicago Bears starting quarterback Caleb Williams, after he received messages of bullying for wearing nail art before his game with the Bears.

In a recent episode of her podcast, “Unapologetically Angel,” WNBA star Angel Reese expressed her honest thoughts on the issue surrounding NFL quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams recently got fan backlash over his wearing of nail art during game, mainly as part of his advocacy of raising suicide prevention awareness.

For Reese, no one should be limited in expressing themselves, regardless of the fashion choice that they have, particularly men who bear the expectation of always making “masculine” choices.

“I think it’s really important for people to express themselves as whenever and however they want,” Reese said. “Like, there is no such thing as too masculine or too feminine.”

Reese also highlighted that regardless of his fashion choice, Williams remains a talented football player, and him wearing nail art does not take anything away from it.

“He is who he is,” she said. “That doesn’t make him less talented than who he is. That does not make him any less of a man. I think it’s important to be able to be who you are in this world. Like everybody cannot be the same person, and you can identify who you want to be and what you want to be in whatever way possible.”

In response, Caleb Williams has expressed that he is “unbothered” by the criticism, and that he “won’t apologize” for being who he is.

Angel Reese Announces New Career Decision Outside WNBA

Angel Reese is planning to add one more job description to her resume, and for this, she is looking to hire someone to help her pull it off.

In an interview with People, Reese revealed how she has been planning to hire an acting coach, as she is looking to branch out to acting.

“I want to get an acting coach,” Reese said. “I was talking to Common, he’s overseas right now shooting season 2 of Silo, and he was telling me, ‘You got to hire an acting coach.’ “

“So I’m going to hire an acting coach,” she continued. “I model already, so it’s like adding to the resume. I’m young right now, so I’m going to do it while I’m young.”

Angel Reese also spoke at the New York Film Festival premiere, recalled feeling nervous on set, and credited cast members and lead Idris Elba for helping her settle in, including Elba’s advice to “stay confident, be yourself, have fun” while they shot scenes that even involved casual basketball moments.
