Skip Bayless isn’t as impressed with Angel Reese’s view on the WNBA’s rising viewership over the past months. The veteran analyst particularly slammed the Chicago Sky star’s struggling performance this season.
Reese previously had her take on the league’s increased viewership, which was mainly attributed to her rival, Caitlin Clark. She disregarded this and believed she and their batchmates also deserved the credit.
However, the “Bayou Barbie’s” second season isn’t clearly in her favor. Despite averaging 12.3 rebounds, many frown over her 30.9% efficiency.

On Tuesday’s episode of his show, Bayless recalled Angel Reese‘s match against the Indiana Fever, who was without Clark. Despite this, the Sky still lost, while Reese only finished with four points and 12 rebounds.
Bayless also claimed that Reese’s rebounding prowess is insufficient alone to boost viewerships in the WNBA.
“I’m not sure anybody has ever paid to see rebounding… but Angel… if you can score only four against the Fever without Caitlin, and look laughably bad doing so, you can’t say you’re playing as big a part in the WNBA’s exploding ratings as Caitlin, as you just can’t say that.”
“Angel Reese was getting bombarded for her sorry performance against in Chicago… to Caitlin Clark’s Fever, without the injured Caitlin Clark. Angel wound up with a grand total of 4 points on 2 out of 7 [shooting]… A couple times, Angel drove it and flung up just these wild shots from three or four feet that missed the rim by, I don’t know, three or four feet. Just looked so ridiculously awkward, like she had never played basketball before.”
“Still, Angel looked pretty sorry, as she often does. Just being honest… [Reese’s field goal percentage] is impossibly bad,” Bayless concluded. “I’m not sure any kid has ever asked a parent to be taken to a game to see Angel Reese rebound.”

Angel Reese gets honest about her performance this season
After winning her third straight BET Sportswoman of the Year Award, Angel Reese takes to the media on Tuesday to reveal her candid feelings about the Sky’s underwhelming performance this season.
“It’s great… obviously, ’cause it’s my third one, it really meant something to other people today—’cause it’s me,” Reese said.
“And I just focus on basketball. I come into work every day and work. I don’t complain, I don’t care about anything else. I have bad days—I haven’t been playing well at all. And I can sit around here and just mope and point the finger, but it’s been me.”
“I put my all into this s***.”
