Chicago Sky have decided to punish Angel Reese for the way she called out the team and her teammates last week, saying they don’t have players to elevate the team and reach the playoffs.
Reese specifically named Rachel Banham, Hailey Van Lith, and Courtney Vandersloot in the presser and the team was reportedly shocked by what transpired.

She also hinted about her dissatisfaction with the way their season is going.
“I’m not settling for the same s*** we did this year,” Reese said.
“We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me.”
She already apologized for the comments and said that she could have worded things better.
“I don’t think I’m frustrated, I’m probably am frustrated at myself right now” she said two days ago,
“I think the language is taken out of context and I really didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates. I want to apologize to my teammates, which I already have about the article.”

Sky still went on and suspend her for one half of the game.
Angel Reese should leave Chicago Sky says executive
Reese made the All-Star Game in both her seasons with Chicago but she is looking for team success. Sky failed to make the playoffs last season and it looks they’re not going there again with their current 10-32 record, the second worst in the league.
One executive thinks she will not get what she aspires for with her current team and it is because Chicago, according to that person, is the worst-run organization in WNBA.
“She needs to get the hell out of there,” the anonymous executive said.

“Chicago is probably the worst-run organization in the league. You’re gonna suspend your best player just because she’s putting pressure on you to get better? That was embarrassing to see.”
That might be the next chapter in her career. Front Office Sports reported that her relationship with Chicago is no longer repairable.
Reese herself is also vocal about moving on to another club for better competition.
“I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me.”
