Angel Reese is back behind the mic for Year 2 of her “Unapologetically Angel” show, returning after a break during the WNBA season. With her rookie campaign for the Chicago Sky wrapping up in mid-September, the Chi-Town Barbie relaunched her podcast on Thursday — and wasted no time diving into big topics.

One highlight was the release of her new Reebok signature shoes.
“I was like, ‘Okay, let’s launch three shoes. … Let’s give them three things to taste on and let’s see what it’s like.’ The three are dropped. The ‘Mebounds,’ we’ll talk about that. The ‘Diamond Dust,’ which I have on and the ‘Receipts Ready,’ cause I keep the motherf**king receipts ready,” Reese said.
Originally, she wanted Reebok to wait until 2026 for the launch, but the brand pushed for a playoff release in 2025 — and she eventually agreed.
The “Mebounds” sneaker nods to a running joke from last season, when critics mocked her habit of grabbing her own rebounds. Instead of letting the memes drag her down, Reese trademarked the term, turning it into what she described as a “six figures plus” investment. For her, the message is simple: the more haters talk, the more she cashes in.
Life Beyond Basketball: Angel Reese’s First Film Role
Angel Reese also revealed another major step off the court — her acting debut. She landed a cameo in the film A House of Dynamite, starring Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson. The Kathryn Bigelow-directed project hits select UK theaters on October 2 before arriving on Netflix worldwide on October 24.

“That was really fun. My little acting part in there was cool, and I do really want to get into acting. During my [basketball] career and also after my career. That experience was really fun. Those days are long. Like even for my little acting part, the little part I did do, was a long, long, long time,” Reese shared.
Whether it’s hoops, sneakers, or Hollywood, Reese knows critics will keep chirping. But she made it clear she’s ready, saying she has “days for receipts” to clap back at anyone doubting her next move.
