Angel Reese attended the 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City on Monday. Not only did the Chicago Sky star dress to impress, but she also wowed onlookers as she debuted her newly dyed hair.

Reese went to the event wearing an all-white strapless gown paired with black high heels and a white fur coat to match with her now-blonde locks. She posted for the cameras as she entered the venue through the red carpet.

When asked about her ensemble, she obliged, crediting Jonathan Simkhai for her outfit and David Yurman for her rings.

The 2024 CFDA Fashion Awards was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, hosted by English actress and singer Cynthia Erivo. This year’s honorees include Coach, Michael Kors, Annie Leibovitz, and Fashion Icon Award recipient Erykah Badu.

Angel Reese danced with Kiyan Anthony

Angel Reese’s offseason adventures continue as she finds other notable people in the industry to collaborate with. Recently, she collaborated with NBA legend Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan in a TikTok video, where the two showed off their dance moves in the name of fun.

However, it seems that not everyone is amused with the collaboration, with some social media users being typical Angel Reese haters.

One fan blasted Reese for the outfit she wore in the video. “Get him away from her. She nothin but trouble. Still showing skin for attention 1/10 lookin ahh,” the fan said.

Some users commented saying Reese should get away from Kiyan. “Man, keep that [bricklayer] away from bro, he [needs to] keep that energy far away since [he’s] a future Knick,” one fan said.

Others made a remark about Kiyan’s dancing. One fan said, “[That] boy [ain’t] here to dance, [he’s] here to average 30 in the league like his pops.”

Meanwhile, one fan criticized the video for simply being “so bad.”

Reese, who is currently having a blast during her offseason, has yet to pay any mind to the negative comments flooding the video. Clearly, the 22-year-old is just being “unapologetically Angel.”

Angel Reese was a contender for the Rookie of the Year award, which was eventually won by her rival, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. Her chances of winning the award slipped away after a season-ending wrist injury prevented her from playing the last six of their regular-season games.

While recovering from her injury, she has declared her participation in the Unrivaled league, a women’s three-on-three basketball tournament, which debuts in January next year.
