Angel Reese’s comeback on Tuesday wasn’t just a win for her—it was a full-on family moment. Her mom, Angel Webb, made sure to show out, cheering on the Bayou Barbie as she returned from a back injury and went right back to dominating.

After Reese’s match against the Washington Mystics, she, along with her mother, Angel Webb, and brother Julian, had a heartwarming family picture together. Reese’s mom then captioned it, writing: “My babies.”

Angel Webb remains the lifeline and the biggest inspiration behind Angel Reese’s WNBA career. She always spoke highly of her mother, crediting her tough journey as a single mom and how she drove her to play ball. She had another fantastic night with her family watching, putting up 22 points and 13 rebounds against the Mystics, leading Chicago again.

And Angel Webb isn’t holding back against criticisms of her daughter, either. When Reese got involved in rumors, led by former NFL player Robert Griffin III, claiming that her friends had convinced her to hate her rival, Caitlin Clark, Webb didn’t like it and slammed RGIII’s words.
“Man stop with the 🧢 My daughter’s “circle” is so small & tight so I’d be interested 2 know who called U Whomever U say “called” U 🤔 is not in her circle 2 speak on her feelings towards a media/fandom made up beef. Just stay on that side bc the doors are closed over here,” Reese wrote.

WNBA Legend responds to critics after low Angel Reese ranking
Candace Parker spoke positively of Angel Reese at some point, but she made something that arguably put her into a fight with the fans. After all, a couple of weeks ago, the WNBA legend ranked Reese C in a tier list, which was lower compared to stars like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers.

Fans didn’t like how Reese got ranked so low compared to Clark (A) and Bueckers (B). But Parker, on the “Good Follow” show, defended her take.
“They asked me my opinion on player tiers, and my thing is, if you bring something to the argument, bring something else,” Parker said. “Can she get to player A, or player S, or whatever? Yes, she can. Right now, I don’t know if she’s alongside those players. And you’re measuring her against players that have been in the league for years.”
There’s a difference between hate and holding space for real conversations.

While Parker made it clear that she doesn’t hold a grudge against Angel Reese, fans simply couldn’t help but speculate if Reese’s recent post, which said: “clout is one helluva DRUG. like it really gets to a point,” is related to this issue.
