“We’re Working On It”: Angel Reese Influence Has Kamilla Cardoso Wanting Signature Shoes

Angel Reese’s future in Chicago has been a hot topic, but this week? Different story. The spotlight was all hers after Reebok finally dropped her first signature sneaker — the Angel Reese 1.

The release hit Thursday morning and it was chaos right away. All three launch colorways — Diamond Dust, Receipts Ready, and Mebounds — were gone in just hours. Fans went crazy, and even her own teammate Kamilla Cardoso (yup, the Nike athlete) admitted she wanted a pair.

“Yes, I’ve thought about it,” Cardoso said. “This is one of my biggest dreams as an athlete, but it’s a complicated conversation that will take some time. We’re working on it.

Kamilla talking about her dream of owning her own sneakers:

For Reebok, this is bigger than just selling shoes. They’ve been trying to reconnect with the younger crowd, and Reese is the perfect fit. Shaq himself played recruiter here, and he’s been hyping her up nonstop — not just for her game, but for how she moves the culture.

“Can’t Even Put It Into Words”: Angel Reese’s Emotional Launch Day

For Angel Reese, though, it wasn’t just about the sales. She celebrated with a BTS video from her photoshoot and dropped an emotional post on X.

    Then came the longer post:

“I can’t even put into words how PROUD I am of this moment, how THANKFUL I am for the journey, and how GRATEFUL I am for every single person who has supported me along the way. 23 years old… and I just dropped my very first signature shoe. WOW. 🥺🙏”

So far, Reebok has shown off four versions of the AR1: Mebounds in bright pink, Diamond Dust in iridescent white, Receipts Ready in black and white, plus Giving Grace in gray.

The first three already flew off shelves online. The gray pair hasn’t even dropped yet, but you know it’s coming. Retail is $120, though resale prices are already jumping.
