Chicago Sky star Angel Reese was compared to Los Angeles Lakers veteran star LeBron James in the middle of a discussion about better pay for WNBA players.

In one of the recent episodes of her podcast “Unapologetically Angel,” Angel Reese had rapper and social media influencer Chrisean Rock as her guest, and one of the topics they talked about was better pay for WNBA players. In the discussion, Rock likened Reese to LeBron James in “everything that you do.”

“What more would you want to see for women’s sports?” Reese asked Rock.

“Us getting paid our worth,” Rock responded. “Period. Like, yeah. Yeah, cuz you’re doing exactly what LeBron is doing.”

Reese, showing an initial reaction of shock, followed up on the topic instead.

“I ain’t got the money for us just yet, but it’s coming,” Reese responded. “It’s coming. It’s a lot. It’s a lot that goes into it, but it’s coming. Trust me, it’s coming.”

Angel Reese has been vocal about advocating for better pay for WNBA players, especially as discussions around a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) gain momentum. Reese has expressed her support for the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) in their push for a deal that reflects the players’ true value and contributions to the league.

Angel Reese Predicted” to be Future WNBA MVP

Angel Reese had not only gotten herself to basketball greats but also predicted that she would reach further heights in her career. In a recent podcast, a fan predicted that she would one day be hailed as an MVP fo the league.

“I think she’s gonna be a future MVP in the WNBA,” DJ of the Moreau Sports Media Prod Co. podcast said. “I think she’s gonna win a [Defensive Player of The Year].” I’m putting this on record. I think before her career is done, she will have a better career than Jonquel [Jones], and she’ll have a better career than Brittney Griner.

“Her potential is limitless,” he added.

Jordan & DJ discuss Angel Reese’s potential.

DJ: “She has limitless potential…when it’s all said and done, I think she will be better than Jonquel Jones & Brittney Griner.”

Brittney Griner, a seasoned WNBA player, has numerous accolades, including multiple All-Star selections, Defensive Player of the Year awards, and an Olympic gold medal. As a rookie, Reese still has a ways to go to reach Griner’s level of achievement.
