Angel Reese is officially an All-Star, and she’s making sure her teammates get the credit they deserve. After initially being left out of the starters’ list, the Sky rookie earned a spot as a reserve. And Reese’s response wasn’t about proving people wrong. It was about lifting the squad that helped her rise.

“Individual awards are team awards! Wouldn’t be able to do this without them! 🙏🏽🥺,” Angel Reese posted on social media after the announcement.

It’s a fitting message from Reese, who’s spent most of her rookie year doing the dirty work. She’s one of the league’s top rebounders, a defensive disruptor, and a spark that’s brought life to a retooling Sky side.

The All-Star nod wasn’t just about fan hype or headlines. Angel Reese has consistently delivered double-doubles, anchored Chicago’s tempo, and pulled momentum-shifting plays when her team needed them the most.

Her rise didn’t come solo. Angel Reese has the likes of Marina Mabrey, Dana Evans, and Kamilla Cardoso to thank for helping unlock different aspects of her game.

Now, with All-Star weekend coming up, Reese will rep Chicago on one of the biggest stages in the sport. But she’s not showing up alone. Her whole team is walking with her, even if only one name is stitched on the jersey.

For Angel Reese, this was a team win.

Angel Reese Earns Sky’s Praise With Remarkable Double-Double Dominance Through First Half Of Rookie Season

Angel Reese is doing more than holding her own. She’s making her presence felt night in and night out, stacking up stats that prove why she deserves her All-Star call-up.

“THAT’S OUR GIRLLLLLL 🤩” the Chicago Sky posted on X after Angel Reese’s selection was announced, capping off a run that has seen the rookie lead the league in double-doubles.

Reese is averaging 13.3 points and 11.4 rebounds per game, staying aggressive in the paint and giving Chicago much-needed interior stability. She’s on pace to break rookie rebounding records, and she’s doing it with hustle, not just height.

The physicality Angel Reese brings inside has forced teams to adjust. She draws contact, boxes out well, and plays with the kind of energy that gives her team second chances. In transition or on-set plays, Angel Reese doesn’t take possessions off.

This version of Angel Reese is what fans hoped for and what Chicago needed. She’s doing more than building a stat line—she’s setting a standard early in her career. The Sky are rallying behind her, and she’s giving them every reason to.
