Angel Reese isn’t on the floor right now with the WNBA playoffs in full swing, but she’s still finding ways to make noise. This week, the Chicago Sky forward jumped back on the mic to announce the return of her podcast, Unapologetically Angel. And she didn’t do it quietly — she revealed her next guest is none other than rapper and actor Common.

Reese spread the word on both X and Instagram, resharing the podcast graphic with the message:
“& just like that WE BACKKKK.”
She doubled down on X with:
“we are soooo backkkkk [pinching hand emoji and white heart emoji].”
The official release date hasn’t been locked in yet. Fans are circling Sept. 25 or maybe Oct. 2 as the likeliest drops, especially with Angel Reese juggling her signature sneaker launch and a quick offseason trip to South America. Either way, her listeners are already buzzing for the comeback.
“I think the timing was bad”: Lisa Leslie weighs in on Angel Reese’s remarks
Angel Reese has been in the headlines plenty lately — not just for her podcast. As Chicago wrapped up a rough 10-34 season, she voiced frustration about the Sky’s roster and made it clear she expects changes. She even warned she might walk if things don’t improve.

That honesty didn’t sit well with the franchise, which suspended her for half a game and barred her from speaking at exit interviews. Still, not everyone was quick to slam her. WNBA legend Lisa Leslie offered a different perspective.
“Angel’s a truth teller, I’m a truth teller, sometimes we get ourselves in trouble,” Leslie said. “But a lot of times when you’re a passionate player and your goal is to win, you want to win by any means, but what you don’t realize is so does everybody else in the locker room.
“When you look at the bigger picture, it’s not that Angel said things wrong… I think the timing was bad.”
Reese’s numbers back up her frustration. In just her second season, she averaged 14.7 points, 12.6 boards, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. But those efforts couldn’t stop the Sky from crashing out of the postseason.
