Angel Reese, Chicago Sky superstar, reacted to her college team, the LSU Tigers winning against the Florida State Seminoles to earn a ticket for the Sweet 16 round this weekend. Reese played for the LSU Tigers from 2022 to 2024, and put up quite a few impressive performances for the team, which eventually made her the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft.

The LSU Tigers were on fire in the NCAA second-round game against the Florida State Seminoles, winning with a final score of 101-71. Against Florida State, LSU’s offense was led by Mikaylah Williams who chalked up 28 points on the scoreboard, with Aneesah Morrow also contributing very well with 26 points. Sa’Myah Smith grabbed 12 rebounds, the highest for the team, while Morrow’s seven assists led the LSU Tigers.

Angel Reese shared a graphic with the final score and an image from the game between the LSU Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles. The 22-year-old also put up a dancing woman emoji to show her excitement about the team’s win.

The LSU Tigers finished their regular season in third place of the Southeastern table with a 12-4 conference score and 30-5 overall, two spots below the ruling Texas Longhorns who finished 33-3 overall.

In her two seasons with the LSU Tigers, Angel Reese managed to win the NCAA championship one time, in 2023. Before playing for LSU, Reese was part of the Maryland Terrapins from 2020 to 2022. Her superb performance for the LSU Tigers eventually got Reese a spot with the Chicago Sky who picked her up as the seventh overall pick in the very first round of the WNBA draft.

Angel Reese Tweets Her Support For JuJu Watkins After She Injured Her ACL

Angel Reese was one of the many sports celebrities who came out in support for JuJu Watkins after the USC Trojans’ star injured her ACL in the NCAA second round game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

“Prayers for Juju!” Angel Reese tweeted from her X account along with a ‘face holding back tears’ emoji and a ‘prayer hands’ emoji.

Watkins will be mostly scheduled for surgery pretty soon as per recent reports from the team. Despite Watkins not playing in that game after the first quarter, the USC Trojans managed to win quite impressively against Mississippi State. Kiki Iriafen eventually led the team to victory, chalking up 36 points on the scoreboard, and earning LSU their ticket for the Sweet 16 round.
