Chicago Sky superstar Angel Reese has sent social media into a frenzy with a subtle yet telling Instagram post that appears to confirm her relationship with NBA center Wendell Carter Jr. of the Orlando Magic.
The WNBA All-Star shared photos from the Kia Center (home of the Magic) wearing a custom Orlando jersey with “My Man” on the back, including one shot where a man’s hand—widely believed to be Carter’s—is placed around her waist.
Timeline of the Angel Reese and Wendell Carter Jr. Romance Rumors

The post, shared in mid-December 2025, comes weeks after Carter himself fueled rumors by calling Reese “the homie” and “my girl” during a November 17 appearance on FanDuel TV’s Run It Back. Grinning widely, the 26-year-old Magic big man said, “That’s the homie for sure, we locked in,” when pressed about their status.
The speculation began earlier in 2025:
- Carter attended Reese’s 23rd birthday party in May.
- He showed up at the WNBA All-Star Game in July wearing a shirt featuring Reese’s face.
- Reese has been spotted courtside at Magic games, including a December matchup against the Knicks.
- Subtle social media hints, like Reese mentioning Orlando as her offseason home.
Reese, known for guarding her personal life closely (she’s said she won’t publicly post a boyfriend until marriage), has previously dated college basketball player Cam’Ron Fletcher. This marks her first public romance with an NBA player.

A Rising NBA-WNBA Power Couple?
At 25, Angel Reese is coming off another great season: a second straight All-Star nod, averaging 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per game for the Chicago Sky. Carter, also 26, has established himself as a reliable starter for the contending Magic, contributing double-double production and strong defense.
Fans are loving the matchup of two young, successful Black athletes. Social media exploded with reactions to Reese’s post, calling it a “hard launch” and dubbing them the next big NBA/WNBA couple—right alongside A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo.
While neither has made an ultra-direct statement, the clues are piling up. This feel-good story adds off-court intrigue to both leagues during the WNBA offseason and NBA regular season push.
