Angel Reese is taking some well-earned time to relax, just a week into her offseason. On Tuesday, the Chicago Sky forward shared a series of vacation shots on Instagram, instantly sparking reactions — including one from Cardi B.
Reese has been under the microscope all year as the “Chi-Town Barbie,” especially with the Sky missing the postseason after a rough regular season. But for a moment, she pushed aside the noise and just enjoyed the sun.

“We worked our a** off for this”: Angel Reese flexes on the success of the signature shoes launch
Even with her team’s struggles, Angel Reese has had major wins individually. The biggest came on September 18, when Reebok released her debut signature sneakers, the AR1s. The shoes sold out completely in less than five hours, instantly putting her name in the conversation among basketball’s top sneaker stars.

“I keep the moth*******ing receipts,” Reese said during a livestream. “Everything’s sold out, nice. … All of them within five hours. I am so grateful, so blessed, honored, truthful, graceful and glad. This is the first time that I am happy about an accomplishment because we worked our a** off for this.”
The moment was especially sweet considering how much criticism she faced early in her pro career. For Reese, the launch wasn’t just about sneakers — it was proof she belonged in the spotlight.
Reebok rolled out the AR1s in three distinct colorways, each with its own story. The “Mebounds,” a bold all-pink design, was the first to sell out and even turned a once-critical online phrase into a point of pride. The “Diamond Dust” offered a clean all-white look with subtle off-white accents, while the “Receipts Ready” gave fans a black-and-white option that lined up with classic sneaker styles. Each pair retails for $120.
Between her breakout sneaker success and her offseason confidence, Reese continues to prove she’s more than just a player — she’s a brand.
