Chicago Sky star Angel Reese gave props to pop icon Ciara, who recently appeared on her podcast as a guest.

In a story on Instagram, Angel Reese gave a huge shoutout to Ciara, who recently joined her as a guest on her podcast, “Unapologetically Angel.”

“I love Ciara so much. Such an inspiration,” Reese wrote on her story caption.

During her podcast appearance, the singer praised the Sky star for branching out of basketball and expanding her career into modeling and more recently, acting.

“I think it’s important to understand how much you’re empowered and to use every gift that God has given you,” Ciara said. “If he’s given you the gift to play ball really well, which he has, and then he’s given you the gift to be able to go and model, that’s another level up.”

Recently, Reese walked in a Victoria’s Secret fashion show, and had a brief cameo appearance in a movie starring Idris Elba.

Angel Reese Gives back to Her Community in Recent Partnership

Reebok and the Angel C. Reese Foundation have launched a charitable partnership with Saint Frances Academy’s girls’ basketball program for the 2025–26 season, outfitting the Baltimore-based Panthers in Angel Reese 1 sneakers and custom Reebok warm-ups and game jerseys.

The WNBA star founded the Angel C. Reese Foundation in 2023 to support girls and women through sports, education and financial literacy; she said the collaboration is meant to give back to the community that helped shape her and to inspire young athletes.

The Angel Reese 1, Reese’s first signature shoe with Reebok, was previewed in July and released in September in three initial colorways, with additional editions such as “Charm City,” “Tiago” and “Giving Grace” following later. The partnership officially begins Thursday ahead of the Panthers’ season opener, and Reese is scheduled to lead a special team practice focused on performance and development during the season.

“Empowering the next generation of young female athletes has always been my mission, and giving back to the community that raised me makes it even more special,” Reese said in a statement. “Saint Frances was pivotal in my journey as an athlete and through this partnership I want to give young Panther athletes the resources, the confidence and the inspiration to chase their dreams too.”

Saint Frances head coach Nytearia Burrell called the support from Reese and Reebok “an honor,” saying Angel Reese is a pillar of inspiration and expressing confidence the program will benefit both on and off the court from the new alliance.
