Angel Reese set off WNBA gossip when she publicly called out her Chicago Sky teammates and management in a fiery interview—prompting Candace Parker to spill some locker-room wisdom.
On her Post Moves podcast, Parker chimed in:
“The best advice I ever received was to keep things in-house. You can yell, scream, cuss, do all those things in between these walls, but you can’t bring it out. And once that happens, it’s hard to gain that trust back.”

Parker’s take came just after Reese made waves telling the Chicago Tribune she’s “not settling for the same shit we did this year,” demanding that the Sky bring in elite talent or she may head elsewhere—frank talk that rattled the locker room. The team responded swiftly: Reese was suspended for the first half of a recent game, as the Sky insisted they “value the safety, respect, and well-being of every player”.
Reese later pushed back, saying her words were taken out of context, and apologized—she credited teammates for showing up “through thick and thin” and admitted she needs to be “better with my language” moving forward. Teammate Rachel Banham described feeling “blindsided,” while Ariel Atkins shrugged, “I’m so over all of this s— … we just here trying to do our jobs”

Angel Reese is taking blows from every angle, from the failed shoe launch to the numerous feuds, and then this huge rift between her, the Sky and her teammates. We can understand the demand for accountability when expectations are not met, but if she can’t find a way to handle this right, then it may all just turn against her. Could this be the start of Angel Reese’s Villain Arc?
Angel Reese Misses More Time With Back Injury
Angel Reese is off the court again, and it’s not drama this time—it’s a lingering back injury, and her absence is reshaping the Sky’s season.
Since the All-Star break, Reese has missed eight of the last nine games due to a persistent back issue. Coaches say doctors still haven’t cleared her, and the Sky are being cautious rather than rush her return. Her return in August was a bright spot—she dropped 19 points, seven boards, and four assists—but the Sky still fell short.

There’s no firm timeline yet for her full return, and with regular season winding down, each missed game matters. Reese is clearly frustrated—both with herself and the uncertainty. “Angel, if she’s healthy, she wants to play,” said coach Tyler Marsh. “We just don’t want to put her in harm’s way to further any existing injury.”
