From one LSU Tiger to another, WNBA star Angel Reese has spoken out in support of former LSU football standout Kyren Lacy.
Lacy, who once suited up as a wide receiver for the Tigers, faced serious charges — including negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run, and reckless vehicle operation — after a crash last year that killed a 78-year-old man.

However, newly surfaced surveillance footage presented by Lacy’s attorney appears to tell a different story. The video reportedly shows that Lacy was more than 70 yards away from the car involved in the collision.
Reese took to social media to weigh in on the development, posting simply:
“Justice for Kyren Lacy.”
Justice for Kyren Lacy 💔🥺

Lacy’s case took a tragic turn earlier this year. After being arrested in January and released on $151,000 bail, he was scheduled to appear before a grand jury in April. But just two days before the hearing, he reportedly got into a heated argument with a family member and allegedly fired a gun before leaving the scene. Police later found him dead in a car crash following a multi-mile pursuit.
Angel Reese Earns Major Respect from NBA Players
Angel Reese’s confidence continues to make waves far beyond the WNBA. During the Orlando Magic’s media day, Wendell Carter Jr. was asked about his favorite WNBA player — and didn’t hesitate.
“My favorite WNBA player is Angel Reese. I just love how she has an ‘I don’t care’ mentality. She goes out there every night and does her thing.”

That admiration isn’t just talk. Carter was spotted wearing a Reese tee during the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game and later seen alongside her at UFC 319 in Chicago, sparking plenty of rumors.
Reese, though, isn’t entertaining any of it. She’s made it clear she’s single, focused, and happy — and with her name growing into one of the biggest brands in women’s basketball, she’s got plenty to keep her busy on and off the court.
