Angel Reese found herself trending again, this time far from the court, after a short but loud reaction to Kayla Nicole’s New Year’s Eve post.

Kayla Nicole shared a series of photos to ring in the new year, captioning her post, “2026 is the year of the horse. Fitting if you ask me. [horse emoji] [sparkles emoji].”

Among the flood of reactions was a simple comment from Reese.

    “WHEW,” Angel Reese wrote.

That one word was enough to send the post even further. Screenshots of Reese’s reply circulated across timelines, with many pointing out how fast her name now sparks attention even in moments that have nothing to do with basketball.

Angel Reese has built a reputation for being active online, and this latest comment fit right into that image. The response didn’t need explanation. It didn’t need extra words. It landed exactly how people expected it to.

Fans quickly began quoting Angel Reese’s comment, reposting the photo, and turning the moment into lighthearted content. Some praised Kayla Nicole’s look. Others joked about how Reese always seems to be in the middle of whatever is trending.

What stood out was how little it took. One post, one caption, one reply, and suddenly Reese was part of the conversation again.

Over the past year, Reese has consistently stayed visible across different spaces, from sports to fashion to lifestyle posts. That reach is now clear every time her name shows up in a comment section.

This moment didn’t involve stats, highlights, or postgame quotes. But Reese’s presence still carried weight.

Angel Reese Expands Her Brand With New Skincare Investment

While Angel Reese was making waves in comment sections, another update highlighted how active she has been off the court.

Athlete Vanity reported via its official X account, “Angel Reese has invested in skincare brand, Topicals alongside Nigerian singer- Rema. The brand has closed a round of funding that brings its total raised to over $20m since its launch.”

The news added another layer to Angel Reese’s growing public profile. Beyond appearances and endorsements, Angel Reese is now tied to a company that has already pulled in major funding since it launched.

Topicals has built attention around skincare products aimed at everyday routines, and this latest round signals continued growth. With Angel Reese joining that group of investors, her name now connects not only to sports and social media moments, but also to long-term business projects.

Angel Reese isn’t just expanding her image. She’s attaching it to brands that aim to live beyond headlines and highlight reels.

For many followers, the move made sense. Reese has steadily leaned into opportunities that stretch outside of games. From partnerships to media moments, her presence has become familiar in more than one lane.

The Athlete Vanity post circulated quickly, with users pointing out the scale of the funding and the type of company Angel Reese chose to support. Skincare, lifestyle, and wellness spaces continue to draw athlete investors, and Angel Reese now joins that list.

Together, the investment news and her viral “WHEW” comment painted a clear picture of where Reese sits right now. She’s visible, active, and increasingly tied to conversations that go beyond a single arena.

As 2026 begins, Reese continues to show that her reach doesn’t stop when the clock runs out.
