Chicago Sky star Angel Reese got praise from one of her former teammates for branching out from sports to modelling for Victoria’s Secret.

In a recent podcast interview, former teammate of Angel Reese, Kysre Gondrezick, praised the WNBA for making a leap and appearing as a model for the recent Victoria’s Secret 2025 Fashion Show.

“We’re in a position now where we’re being offered the same resources and opportunities as our male counterparts,” Gondrezick said. “That’s uncomfortable, I think, for people because of the new time that we’re in. While Angel has done Victoria’s Secret, and I can’t speak upon her, but as I have done Playboy, and I’m sure that she can relate, or anyone else that is breaking barriers.”

Recently, Wendell Carter Jr. publicly confirmed he is in a relationship with WNBA star Angel Reese, telling hosts on FanDuel TV that the pair are “locked in” and referring to Reese as “my girl.”

Carter Jr. addressed months of dating speculation during an appearance on the FanDuel TV program Run It Back, where he was asked directly about his connection to Reese.

“Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out,” Carter said during the interview. “We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure.”

The confirmation followed a string of public interactions and social-media signals that had fueled the rumors for months. Carter attended Reese’s birthday celebration and was seen courtside at events where the two posed together

Angel Reese Makes Team USA Camp Roster

Angel Reese has been selected for USA Basketball’s senior national team training camp, set for Dec. 12–14 at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Reese will join a roster of 18 players who will go to camp.

The roster has been released and includes well-known players such as Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, plus experienced veterans like Chelsea Gray, Brittney Griner, and Kelsey Plum as well as newly appointed Head Coach Kara Lawson. The coaching staff will also consist of many players who currently work with WNBA teams.

The announcement also had Reese excited about being part of the process of becoming part of Team USA by posting on social media with a countdown emoji as she prepares to compete for position with an experienced team of players.

Recently, in the WNBA, Angel Reese raised questions as to her future with the Sky as she closed the season with a statement that looked for improvements from the team, while also skipping her end-of-season exit interview.
