Bam Adebayo To Leave Miami Heat Soon? Analyst Predicts 3-Time All-Star Will Grow Impatient Over Terrible Roster

Jimmy Butler left the Miami Heat after failing to get what he wanted. His demands were about a lucrative extension and an improved roster. He became impatient and if what an NBA analyst said is true, looks like they will lose Bam Adebayo for the same reason.

One-time NBA champion Kendrick Perkins believes Adebayo won’t be able to finish the season wearing wearing a Heat jersey and it all has to do with the make up of the roster.

“Bam Adebayo will not be in a Miami Heat jersey at the end of this year,” Perkins said in the Road Trippin’ show.

“He will not finish the season in Miami. I believe it’s time. Miami is nowhere close to being a playoff team. I never want to doubt Erik Spoelstra, but their roster stinks. Bam is at the point where he needs to be on a contender.”

Both Butler and Adebayo were the team’s main men in the last half decade. They were able to lead the team to two NBA championship appearances. They were able to do that despite having second rounder (save for Tyler Herro) and undrafted players as their rotation guys.

    Miami Heat’s summer moves

Several players in the Heat camp have expressed belief that they can contend this 2025-26 season even though most power rankings regard them just as a play-in team.

The line up is currently filled with veterans who are at the peak of their careers. Andrew Wiggins, who they got in the deal that sent Butler to the Golden State Warriors, is returning and will be their starting small forward. Tyler Herro, though injured, is the shooting guard. He said he is ahead of his schedule with his recovery from foot and ankle injury.

Their newest and most notable acquisition is Norman Powell who played for the Los Angeles Clippers last season. He was their second best scorer and and second most available player, averaging 21.8 points in under 37 minutes per game.

Davion Mitchell is also returning and has been making good strides this offseason while Kel’el Ware, their player of the future, could be a starting center with Adebayo sliding down to no. 4. Head coach Erik Spoelstra has been keeping close watch on the young big man and he believes Ware is responding.

The bench also has Terry Rozier, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Nikola Jovic.
