Tristan Thompson, LeBron James’ former teammate, had basketball fans buzzing Thursday night with his bold prediction about Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson’s future child.

The former Cleveland Cavaliers big man didn’t hold back on NBA TV. He declared their hypothetical kid better be hooping at the highest level.
LeBron James Ex-Teammate Demands Bam Adebayo & A’ja Wilson’s Future Kid Be NBA Royalty
Thompson delivered his take on NBA TV’s pre-game coverage Thursday during the Heat-Bulls game delay at United Center. The broadcast crew needed to fill time during the lengthy delay while the WNBA star sat courtside supporting her boyfriend.
LeBron James’ ex-teammate seized the moment to project massive expectations on a kid that doesn’t even exist yet. “Their kid better be an NBA player,” Thompson stated emphatically. “He better not be putting up boxes in FedEx, because he’s going to be so tall.”

He dropped his wild assumption completely based on the power couple’s genetics, noting that Wilson and Adebayo are both elite basketball players. Since both couples’ heights surpass 6 feet, Thompson predicted that their future child could reach at least 7 feet.
“This kid is going to be 7-foot, a hundred percent,” Thompson continued on the broadcast. “If he gets his Mama’s talent and his Dad’s toughness, it’ll be one of the greatest of all time.”
Wilson earned her fourth WNBA MVP award this past season, leading Las Vegas Aces to their third championship in franchise history. Meanwhile, her boyfriend brings a different skill set to the table. The Heat center averaged 16.9 points and 9.6 rebounds right at this point of the season.
The couple went public with their relationship earlier this year but reports claimed they first connected during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Both athletes have maintained privacy about their personal lives until recently.
LeBron James Opened Up About His Pizza Venture
LeBron James explained his leap from McDonald’s to Blaze Pizza during a 2017 appearance on Maverick Carter’s web series “Kneading Dough.” The King chose equity over guaranteed cash and that gamble turned $1 million into at least $35 million.
James emphasized belief in the product drove his decision. He recalled visiting the first Blaze location at UC Irvine with Carter. The pizza impressed him immediately. But the real draw came from ownership potential.
“I believed in the actual product first,” James told Carter during the interview. He explained that Carter brought him a proposition about owning franchises in multiple cities. The projected returns from putting in time and effort would exceed his McDonald’s guaranteed payments over four years.
James walked away from $14 million remaining on his McDonald’s deal. The fast-casual chain became the fastest-growing restaurant in North American history. James owns roughly 10 percent of the company plus 19 franchise locations.
The investment strategy mirrors James’ approach to basketball which reflects long-term vision and full commitment. Those principles made him one of the greatest players ever. Don’t be surprised if they also made him one of the savviest businessmen in sports.
