Something’s ailing the Chicago Bulls and to head coach Billy Donovan, it is the bond between his players that do not translate on the floor.
“I think the group gets along very well. They all like each other,” Donovan said according The Athletic and Bulls reporter Joel Lorenzi.

“But until they love each other enough to block out, dive on the floor, do that not for themselves but for the guy next to them…this will continue.”
The coach made the comment after they suffered their seven straight defeat, two of the latest ones in the hands of teams below them in the standings – Brooklyn Nets and Indiana Pacers.
Their latest loss was a 32-point beating from the visiting Golden State Warriors. They now hold a 9-14 record.

Jevon Carter does not agree with Billy Donovan
Donovan’s take is not something new. Nor was it illogical. Chemistry is what makes a team successful. Several players said that about the Oklahoma City Thunder which won the title last year.
Jevon Carter, one of the team’s older players, is not a fan of it though. He said they just need to do their job.
“I don’t get into all that. We got a job to do. It’s simple. Just go out there and do your job,” he said during practice.

They are not doing a good job. Team star Josh Giddey as a different opinion compared to Carter. He thinks they need to be more connected.
Appropriate punctuation to this storyline from Jevon Carter. On like vs love and it translating to wins:

“We don’t have anybody that butts heads. We all love each other, we all care about each other. But there’s multiple ways to show that. On the floor, we’re not showing that enough.”
Next up for the Bulls are the Charlotte Hornets which are also below them in the standings.
