Some Boston Celtics fans will say it’s a long time coming, but their team is finally a single win away from snatching their 18th championship banner.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are undoubtedly the stars of the show, but the entire roster seemingly outguns the Dallas Mavericks at every possible opportunity. From Derrick White to Kristaps Porzingis, the roster is also playing to their best potential.

The gulf in talent is evident in the way the two squads have faced each other throughout the series. While the Mavericks have threatened to take the lead multiple times, they didn’t do enough to overrun the Celtics.

Now that the team is only one game away from grabbing the 18th title in the franchise’s already storied history, fans are putting the weight of the world on their superstars’ shoulders.

Boston Celtics fans expect the team to complete the sweep against the Dallas Mavericks

Like clockwork, the fans immediately flooded social media with posts after the Celtics snagged Game 3 from a Luka Doncic-less Dallas team.

Dallas fans expressed frustration with the team’s inability to handle pressure. Some even got on Luka’s back for quitting on the team defensively.

On the other hand, Boston Cetics fans are over the moon. They cannot stop gushing over how dominant the C’s have been throughout the season.

The domination has been so tasty that some fans are even demanding a complete sweep over the Mavs, as reported by ClutchPoints’ Jedd Pagaduan:

“celtics about to complete the sleepiest sweep in basketball history.” – @Mike_Eagle

“Ladies and gentlemen that’s it 4-0 Celtics sweep 😨. Celtics are in full drive and Celtics gonna go for the kill game 4.” – @Mannywizfresh

“‘Give the Celtics credit’ 💀 lame mfs THEY ARE ABOUT TO SWEEP THE “GREATEST BACK-COURT” OF ALL TIME! 😂😭.” – @_KingxAri_

“Congratulations to the Celtics on #18… can’t believe the Mavs are about to be swept. The best result they can get would be a gentleman’s sweep.” – @TenoGreat

The fans already have their brooms out. It’s now up to the Boston Celtics to respond to their fans’ demands in kind. While the Dallas Mavericks will do everything in their power to prevent that, the odds are surely in their favor.
