“I wasn’t expecting it at all,” said Brown, who didn’t expect to be named ECF MVP. “I don’t never win s**t.”
“I’m just happy that we won. And give credit to Indiana, they played us tough. I know people think that Indiana wasn’t a good team or whatever the case may be, but I thought they were as tough as anybody we played all season,” Brown continued via Tim Bontemps of ESPN.
Jaylen Brown sounds off on the Boston Celtics’ critics
Many fans and pundits were critical of the Boston Celtics when they made Jaylen Brown the highest-paid player in the league last summer. So after sweeping the Indiana Pacers, Brown had something to say to his naysayers.

“I think I’m one of the best two-way wings; guards in this game. As time has gone by and I got to this point, I stopped caring and I just embrace,” Brown said via NBA TV on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“As long as my team knows my value, my city knows my value, my family, that’s all I really care about,” he emphasized.
The Boston Celtics are waiting for their next opponent in the NBA Finals, where they will most likely meet the Dallas Mavericks, who are up 3-0 against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals.
