Boston Celtics forward Jordan Walsh recently shared some exciting news regarding Jayson Tatum’s Achilles injury. The two-year pro praised Tatum for his work ethic during his rehab progress.

“We’ve seen him so often,” Walsh said about Tatum on NBC Sports Boston. “I’ve seen him from when he messed up his Achilles to now, and it’s a big difference. He’s moving around way better. So, he’s progressing well. I’m definitely happy to see him getting back healthy.”

“To see him in the gym definitely sets a precedent for everybody else. If a guy is hurt and trying to get back, then you can do the same thing. Like, you’re perfectly healthy, you should be doing the same thing,” he added.

Tatum sustained the injury during the waning minutes of Game 4 against the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Boston Celtics don’t expect the six-time NBA All-Star to play this upcoming season.

Boston Celtics News: Jayson Tatum draws bold MVP claim from former Hall of Famer

Former NBA star Chris Bosh believes that Jayson Tatum can become the first American-born player to win the NBA MVP award since James Harden in 2019, especially if Tatum can bounce back stronger from his Achilles injury.

“Jayson Tatum, of course, but he’s got his injury,” Bosh told MassLive’s Souichi Terada. “It’s really, really tough, especially with a thing like the MVP trophy. You saw who I teamed up with, so it’s very, very difficult.

“There is a section of young guys that the middle section, the guys in their mid-20s. It’s their time to put their stamp on the game,” he added.
