The perception on Bronny James as a prospect varies depending on who you ask.
His avid fans will fully endorse him and highlight his incredible pedigree as one of the biggest reasons for his success. Others will turn that same argument over his head and highlight other prospects who are more worthy of the attention he’s getting.
Regardless of where you stand on the Bronny argument, it’s hard to deny that he’ll likely get a shot in the NBA, regardless if it’s through the draft or through free agency. LeBron James has too much influence in the league to convince some teams to take a swing at him.

However, the question of whether LeBron would end up playing alongside his eldest son still remains unanswered. It’s been known for years that one of King James’ dreams before he retires is to play with his son in an NBA court.
While many believed that the Lakers would use their draft capital to make their star happy, recent developments suggest that the mood has turned in the James household.
Insider claims LeBron James won’t force playing with Bronny James any longer

Rich Paul, LeBron’s long-time friend and agent, extensively talked about Bronny’s NBA Draft hopes. While he was the one who suggested that other teams are also interested in picking Bronny up, he also revealed to ESPN that the James patriarch is no longer forcing the issue when it comes to playing with his son.
“LeBron is off this idea of having to play with Bronny,” Paul told the outlet. “If he does, he does. But if he doesn’t, he doesn’t. There’s no deal made that it’s guaranteed that if the Lakers draft Bronny at 55, he (LeBron) will re-sign. If that was the case, I would force them to take him at 17. We don’t need leverage. The Lakers can draft Bronny, and LeBron doesn’t (re-sign). LeBron is also not going to Phoenix for a minimum deal. We can squash that now.”
It may be hard to believe that LeBron doesn’t want to play with Bronny any longer, but the Los Angeles Lakers forward may have considered that playing together with his son will only put additional pressure on Bronny to perform.

Given how terrible Bronny’s stats with the USC Trojans were, allegations of nepotism will follow him throughout his career. By not forcing his desire to play with his son, he’s giving him room to build his career outside of his father’s shadow and prove their haters wrong.
