    Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets did not play to their potential last year, and finished with a depressing 32-50. Brooklyn also saw a coaching change in the middle of the season, with Jacque Vaughn being replaced by Kevin Ollie. Mikal Bridges and Cam Thomas showed up for the Nets as key players last season. The Brooklyn Nets took on the Toronto Raptors in the last game of the preseason and lost the game with a final score of 116-112.

    Players to watch:

Cam Thomas: 22.5 PPG 3.2 RPG 2.9 APG 0.7 SPG

Nic Claxton: 11.8 PPG 9.9 RPG 2.1 APG 0.6 SPG

Ben Simmons: 6.1 PPG 7.9 RPG 5.7 APG 0.8 SPG

    Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks played last year with head coach Quin Snyder making his debut. Snyder was responsible for many new offensive plays in Atlanta. However, the team was eliminated from the season after losing to the Chicago Bulls 131-116. Atlanta’s offense last year was led mainly by Trae Young proving his mettle game after game, along with Dejounte Murray. The Atlanta Hawks are coming here after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 104-99.

    Players to watch:

Trae Young: 25.7 PPG 2.8 RPG 10.8 APG 1.3 SPG

Clint Capela: 11.5 PPG 10.6 RPG 1.2 APG 0.6 SPG

Onyeka Okongwu: 10.2 PPG 6.8 RPG 1.3 APG 0.5 SPG
