Gilbert Arenas, known for his hot takes, went sarcastic in analyzing the Milwaukee Bucks struggle (though they are back to .500 already) by comparing them to Los Angeles Lakers fans’ who are making excuses saying they don’t have their top players yet. Bucks legend Brandon Jennings will have none of it.
The ‘Bucks in 6’ guy was a guest in the three-time All-Star’s podcast where they mostly talked about the Lakers’ recent losses.
Arenas said, slightly supporting the Lakers said they ‘know their reality’, especially the fact that their star is a 39-year-old guy in Lebron James. The comment was in response to Jennings claiming the Bucks are among the top teams in the league when healthy.
The former Washington Wizards star did not take it lightly that Jennings is using Middleton as a disclaimer and even sarcastically compared the former Bucks players’ take to Lakers’ fans saying they are not yet in their full potential because Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell are out.
“You are talking about a third option,” he addressed Jennings.
Mr. B had it when Arenas compared Middleton compared to the two Lakers. Heated he responded:
You’re comparing Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Rusell to Khris Middleton? Get the f*** out of here. They’re not even in the same . . . Don’t do that. Don’t disrespect Khris Middleton trying to say. . Khris Middleton is a way better player than those two bums. Khris Middleton got it actually f****g done.
Jenning asked who is the third best scorer in the Bucks and Arenas said he does not know.
It was Khris Middleton. Before Damian Lillard joined the team last year, he was the second best player and even got it done in 2021 as the second option with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Last season, he average 24 points to hold the ground for the Bucks in the playoffs with the Greek Freak not playing even just one game.
Khris Middleton return
This is not the first time Arenas and Jennings argued over a hot take. The last one when Arenas said that the Kawhi Leonard era of the Los Angeles Clippers is better than that of the Blake Griffin-era which the former Bucks player prefers.
Milwaukee fans obviously sided with Jennings in their latest argument but they have better things to more excited about.
Shams Charania said Middleton will be available by next week or after Thanksgiving as he already recovered from a bilateral ankle surgery.
The team is hopeful that he is going to be able to make his season debut at some point after Thanksgiving. From what I’m told, he has been already cleared medically to play, but for him it’s about comfort. [He intends to return] when he’s fully right and feels that he’s going to be able to make an impact, like we know Khris Middleton can, when he is fully healthy.
Middleton is yet to play this season after undergoing a surgery on both ankles over the summer.
It will be a great boost for the Bucks who seem to have figured things out already after starting 2-8. They are currently on a five-game winning streak to climb back from 14th spot to fifth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
