The Milwaukee Bucks are in the hot seat over the summer as many watchful eyes look at them if they can deliver for their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo following another first round exit. The main issue is on the kind of roster they will build around the Greek Freak and if they can still contend while Giannis is still in his peak years.

The task became even harder when Damian Lillard went down in the series with Indiana Pacers and was eventually ruled out for the whole 2025-26 season.
The Bucks front office answered by letting him go and availing the stretched-waive provision and use the money they have left to get a younger big man in Myles Turner.
How does the squad look now? The two-time MVP is excited for what they can do. He thinks he is surrounded by players that are hungry to prove themselves.
“I really believe in this team,” he said in an interview with The Athletic reporter and Bucks insider Eric Nehm.

“I love that we’re younger. … We have energy. I think this is a team full of dogs, guys that know their role and (are) gonna try to do their best to figure into their role and try to help this team be great, so I’m excited.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo thinks the Bucks are sleepers
The Bucks came in each season of the last six years as straight up title contenders but it is different this time according to analysts.
Antetokounmpo sort of think the same thing as he describes his team as sleepers of the coming season. However, he still believes they have a legit shot for he got a squad that is ‘dangerous.’
“I always try to take it day-by-day. I deal with what I have in front of me,” he added.
“Right now, Milwaukee, I think it’s a great team. It’s a sleeper. A lot of people might not take us serious, but I think we’re a very, very dangerous team.”

Turner is one of the newcomers in the team joined by Gary Harris, Amir Coffey, and Anthony Cole. They also decided to bring back the role players who thrived with Antetokounmpo at the end of the regular season like Kevin Porter Jr., Gary Trent Jr., Bobby Portis, and AJ Green.
