Bulls Players Had Awkward Moment on Cam as Nikola Vucevic Expresses Frustration for Winning By Just 1-Point Vs Wizards While Teammates Run Wild

Washington Wizards are the worst team in the league right now but they almost got one against the Chicago Bulls after the latter gave up double digit lead in the game. Bulls players celebrated at the end of the game but veteran Nikola Vucevic was not in the mood and he could not hide it in the camera.

The Bulls, who are having a great run so far that goes beyond expectations, are supposed to be the better team. The Wizards have lost 13 straight games while the Bulls have been impressive by beating contenders like the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Denver Nuggets.

That was not how was it like on Saturday as they had to bleed for every point and only got the win at the final buzzer.

Stats will show how the Wizards were the better team for the most part. They slightly out-rebounded their hosts and had better playmaking through a 33-26 assists lead. Six players scored in double digits for Washington.

As for the Bulls, only five players scored in double digits. Josh Giddey recorded a triple double of 18-12-11 while Vucevic led everyone 28 points and 12 rebounds.

It was a comeback win and the younger Bulls thought it was some sort of adrenaline rush and so, they can’t hide their joy during courtside interview.

Bulls are 3-1 in their last four games and two of those they won by jus one possession, including a buzzer beater by Vuc himself against the Portland Trailblazers.

    Nikola Vucevic calls out complacency

Vucevic felt the opposite. He was talking and the others were jumping and laughing. He did not find anything worth celebrating. He even gave his teammates a sharp glance for their behavior after a hard-fought victory.

Explaining himself, Vucevic said he is not happy with the win because of their own doing and that it is not something they can afford to do all the time.

“We just didn’t play up to NBA standards,” the veteran Bull said.

“I don’t think we really understand that it’s just not sustainable to play this way. We won, obviously. It’s hard to win in this league. We know we had a tough stretch, a lot of games. It’s good that we get to win, but we have to understand that it’s not going to keep happening for us this way, where we find ways at the end, where guys miss shots, we get steals, things like that, it’s not always going to work in our favor.”
