Caitlin Clark still may have been sidelined during the Fever’s Monday game against the Sky, but she wasn’t quiet. Early in the fourth quarter, things got heated between Sophie Cunningham and Michaela Onyenwere—and Clark was all in on her teammate’s energy.

With just under ten minutes left, Onyenwere drove to the basket and missed a contested shot. Cunningham grabbed the board, but Onyenwere wasn’t done—wrapping up Cunningham’s arms in a scramble to rip the ball back. The two soon blasted words at each other, but the referees and both teams luckily de-escalated the brawl.
However, the game also captured the Fever’s bench, and along with it was Caitlin Clark giving a standing ovation. Eventually, Cunningham and Onyenwere went for a jumpball, with Indiana getting the possession, continuing the momentum until the end of the game, winning, 93-78.

And even with Clark at the bench, the Fever was intensely alive. Kelsey Mitchell lit it up with 35 points, slicing through the Sky’s defense all night. Aliyah Boston owned the paint with a clean double-double, while Sophie Cunningham stayed glued to her role—gritty, physical, and everywhere Chicago didn’t want her to be.
Meanwhile, Chicago, at their “Barbie Game Night,” suffered their fifth consecutive loss. Their star, Angel Reese, didn’t play due to a back injury, leaving Rachel Banham and Kamilla Cardoso to lead the 7-18 team. So far, they are already 0-3 against Caitlin Clark and the Fever this season.
BIG3 Boss Says Caitlin Clark’s Value Outpaces Her Rival’s
Caitlin Clark once got an offer from the BIG3 founder Ice Cube to play for their league in 2023 with a staggering $5 million deal, which she obviously declined. And now, amidst the Indiana Fever star’s flourishing pro scene, Cube was then asked why Clark’s college rival, Angel Reese, hadn’t gotten the same offer as her. Speaking to TMZ, he explained:
“Yeah, she’s a great player,” Cube said. “The thing with Caitlin Clark it was just to unlock millions of dollars for the league because of her stardom. What our sponsors were telling us. You know they didn’t tell us the same thing about Angel Reese. I don’t know if we can make that same offer.”
“I don’t think we can make that same offer because it won’t have the same impact to the league.”

Both Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese already have packed schedules in the WNBA, and even if they received something as lucrative as BIG3’s offer, it’s also worth noting that they have multiple endorsements, boosting their pay more. However, Clark and Reese, fellow rising stars, are supporting the players’ movement for a higher salary in the WNBA.
