Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark gave a huge shoutout to her friend and teammate Lexie Hull, who recently celebrated her birthday.
Fever star Lexie Hull recently celebrated her 26th birthday, and her teammate Caitlin Clark did not let the opportunity to give her a heartfelt greeting on social media pass. In a story, Clark posted a photo of them together during the All-Star event this season.

“Happy birthday Lex 🤍,” Clark wrote in the caption.
In another story, Clark showed off a collage of photos of her with Hull in fun moments outside the basketball court.
“More good mems ahead @lexiehull 🥳,” Clark wrote in the caption.
Lexie Hull, throughout the regular season, was one of the players of the Fever to manage to weather through their challenges, particularly as the team went on to suffer through player injuries. The Fever lost their biggest star to season-ending injuries and greatly struggled to clinch the No. 6 for the 2025 playoffs.
Throughout the regular season, Hull averaged 30.1 minutes per game and made 11.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per game.
WNBA Playoff Game “Half Empty” Without Caitlin Clark
Indiana’s WNBA playoff opener against the Atlanta Dream on Sunday tipped off in front of roughly half the seats at Gateway Center Arena, underscoring how empty arenas feel without star guard Caitlin Clark.
As the Fever prepared for tip-off, Fieldhouse Files reporter Scott Agness tweeted a photo showing swaths of unoccupied seats, noting that the crowd “feels about half full” even before team introductions.

Before team intros, Caitlin Clark is going down the line and giving each of her teammates a big hug.

The subdued turnout was a stark contrast to Indiana’s league-leading attendance this season. The Fever drew 713,783 fans—over 100,000 more than the next-closest team—as clubs shifted games into larger venues to accommodate Clark’s massive following. Yet without her on the court, Sunday’s playoff atmosphere lacked the electricity that has defined Indiana’s home crowds.
Clark, who has only played 13 games this season due to three unique injuries and is out of the playoffs with a groin injury, has been the biggest reason for the extraordinary crowds. Now that Clark is not participating, the Indiana front office and coaching staff must figure out how to rally fans, as people will wonder how the team will keep their interest when the team’s famous rookie is no longer on the court.

For the 2025 season, Caitlin Clark averaged 18.5 points per game, 8.5 assists, and 5.5 rebounds. She shot 40.5% from the field and shot three-pointers for 32.9%.
