Caitlin Clark can add another major milestone to her rookie campaign—captaining her own squad in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game on July 19 in Indiana.
And the Indiana Fever star wasted no time locking in her biggest ally.
With the No. 1 pick in the All-Star Draft, Clark selected none other than Aliyah Boston, her Fever teammate and frontcourt running mate for the past two seasons. The duo’s chemistry has only grown stronger over time, and Clark clearly values that connection heading into her first All-Star captaincy.
Boston’s response? Short, sweet, and straight from the heart.
“My pookie thanks for drafting me,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, reacting to the selection with a screenshot from the draft reveal.

The selection means Clark and Boston will be sharing the All-Star stage alongside a third Fever teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, who was named a reserve for Team Clark. The Fever will be well-represented when the WNBA’s best gather at Gainbridge Fieldhouse—right in Indiana’s backyard.
“Absolutely Not”: Caitlin Clark Shuts Down Napheesa Collier’s Wild Trade Proposal
Things got playful during the draft when Caitlin Clark and opposing captain Napheesa Collier joined Malika Andrews on ESPN to pick their squads. In a now-viral moment, Collier decided to shoot her shot—proposing a trade that would flip the script.
“Stew was my No. 1 pick, so I need to go big,” Collier said. “Give me your top pick and Aliyah Boston.”

Clark didn’t hesitate.
“Absolutely not,” she said with a laugh. “Not happening. Good try… I don’t even think Phee meant that—she just wanted to see my reaction.”
Team Clark’s starting lineup is stacked, featuring Boston, A’ja Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu, and Satou Sabally. On the bench, Clark added more familiar faces: Mitchell, Seattle’s Gabby Williams, Mystics rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen, Jackie Young from the Aces, and Kayla Thornton of the Golden State Valkyries.

Collier countered with a star-powered starting five of her own—headlined by Breanna Stewart, Allisha Gray, Nneka Ogwumike, and 2025 top rookie Paige Bueckers. Her reserves include Skylar Diggins, Angel Reese, Alyssa Thomas, Kelsey Plum, Rhyne Howard, and Courtney Williams.
As the All-Star weekend approaches, one thing is clear—Caitlin Clark isn’t just showing up to play. She’s showing up to win.
