Everyone is talking about Caitlin Clark’s fresh interview with TIME magazine, where the Indiana Fever talks about her life, her career, and everything else in between. Clark also discussed her rise to fame after she started playing for the Indiana Fever. While Clark was already popular when she played college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes, it was at the WNBA when her fame rose to a peak.
Clark’s teammates spoke out as to when they actually understood how much of a star she actually was when they were traveling to Dallas to play the Wings in a preseason battle. According to Lexie Hull, Indiana Fever guard, fans were chasing the team down the airport just to catch a glimpse of Clark and get her autograph. Clark also clearly remembers that incident, pointing out a certain fan who called out and said that she is “not that big-time!”
“I’m not big-time. But you just chased me through the terminal.” Clark said now.
Not only was Hull surprised at her fan following, but even Christie Sides, who is the Indiana Fever coach currently, was shocked at Clark’s rise to stardom. In her season debut against the Connecticut Suns, Sides noted that the crowd Clark attracted contained people from even older age groups. The fans made Sides think about the Beatles or even Elvis.
Caitlin Clark’s BF Connor McCaffery Drops One-word Reaction To Her B/W Pic
Caitlin Clark certainly shares a lovey-dovey relationship with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery. McCaffery is currently an assistant coach for the Butler Bulldogs college basketball team, after having a short stint in coaching with the Indiana Pacers. The two openly show their support and love for each other, even attending games that the other is playing/coaching.
Clark recently dropped a few monochrome pictures from her photoshoot with TIME magazine which hailed her ‘Athlete of the Year’. While the article itself is quite immersive, the photos were also fantastic. Clearly, McCaffery was impressed with Clark’s look in the pics and commented “Stunning” with heart emojis.
Not only McCaffery, but even Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever co-star, also commented on the pics. Clark goes down in history as the first WNBA player to get this coveted title from TIME magazine. Simone Biles, American gymnast was another previous winner, along with Lionel Messi, soccer player, LeBron James, NBA legend, and even Michael Phelps, Olympic swimmer, have all won the title in previous years.
