Caitlin Clark was feeling giddy during her postgame press conference on Saturday after earning another win over her rival Angel Reese. The Indiana Fever routed the Chicago Sky 93-58 in front of 17,274 fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday in their regular season opener.

The game was somewhat close through three quarters, but Clark and the Fever appeared to receive a boost of energy following a dramatic moment with 4:38 remaining in the third quarter when Clark committed a flagrant foul on Reese to stop the second-year power forward from making an easy basket.

Reese fell to the floor and was visibly upset by the contact. She immediately jumped up to confront Clark, but Fever forward Aliah Boston moved in the way, putting her arm on Reese and pushing her away from the No. 1 pick in the 2024 draft.

Boston and Reese received offsetting technicals for the interaction.

The Fever had a 56-43 lead with 4:38 after Reese made the free throw from the foul, but Indiana closed out the quarter with a 65-45 advantage.

Following the game, Clark made a joke about Boston’s technical, which will cost her $200 in fines from the league, per Front Office Sports.

“I appreciate AB (Boston) having my back. I guess I don’t even know, I didn’t see that (what caused the technical to be called). Have fun paying that fine,” Clark said while slapping the table next to Boston.

Boston jokingly asked Clark to pay half of the fine.

“I got it for ya, don’t worry, it’s real hefty,” Clark said.

Aliyah Boston got a technical foul for intervening between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

The fine for the technical: $200, which Clark told Boston she’ll pay.

WNBA athletes don’t make much. Reese is making about $75,000 per year. But Clark has a $28 million Nike contract, so $200 won’t hurt her bank.
