Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever received a heartwarming message from one of her teammates, considering her continued absence from their games because of the injury and her upcoming return to play.

In a post on X, Natasha Howard expressed her honest feelings about the Fever roster had been experiencing thus far, with part of it being due to Caitlin Clark being sidelined indefinitely due to injury.

“We will always (be) fighting for each other but we feel this fight is a little different with our girls out the lineup,” Howard wrote. “All the hard work they’ve put in over this season won’t go unnoticed. Win [or] lose just know we are fighting to the end for Syd,CC & Ari. See you soon CC ❤️‍🔥”

Caitlin Clark‘s groin injury has a strong influence on her second WNBA season, as she continues to recover. The No. 1 overall pick in 2023 has only played in 13 of the team’s 32 games to date, with her last being on July 15 against the Connecticut Sun.

Clark initially missed some time in June but returned and looked to be in good shape. But after playing until Memorandum with the mid-July injury, she now will miss games, including the All-Star Game and a rematch with Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.

Caitlin Clark Sees Injury as Opportunity

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark recently opened up in an extensive interview with WNBA legend Sue Bird, in one of the recent episodes of the latter’s podcast.

During the interview, Clark got honest about her feelings on being sidelined for the most part of this season due to injuries. She described how this experience had been new to her in all aspects.

“I think it has given me really good perspective on what a lot of my teammates and teams I’ve been a part of [and] what certain people have had to go through,” said Clark while speaking on “Bird’s Eye View.” “I’ve never been through anything like this. I think that’s probably why it’s been so hard because I’ve never really dealt with injury.”

Despite the personal and team setback that her injury had caused, Clark still sees this as an opportunity to understand her body better.

“So, I think it’s been a balance of understanding my body. Whether it’s this year or whether it’s next year and even throughout my career, I’m going to be very thankful for this moment.”

So far this season, Caitlin Clark averages 16.5 points per game, 8.8 assists, and 5 rebounds.
