Caitlin Clark‘s chances of returning to the court remain minuscule as ever, as she continues to recover from her groin injury. Fans could only hope the good news comes along. Speaking on Monday, Clark’s head coach, Stephanie White, provided a crucial update regarding her rehab.

Via IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson, White didn’t hold back on clarifying that Clark is yet to return from team practice. However, she shared something even more relieving about the star guard. Here’s what White said:
“No return to practice. She’s [Clark] been able to get a little bit more in her full court running with all her body weight, it’s really building up from doing minimal to then building some endurance to do longer periods of time. She’s been able to do a little bit more on the court in terms of how she moves, but not into practice yet.”
Caitlin Clark has not yet returned to practice, Stephanie White says.

Caitlin Clark, so far this season, has been sidelined thrice. The first was due to a left quad injury last May, but she returned quite well. Things went downhill when she was out again due to the groin. While she did return, she wasn’t fully herself and was struggling from her shooting. Then came July 15, when Clark had to leave the game against the Connecticut Sun due to extreme pain. She was even in tears after the matchup.

Clark’s injuries made her miss a staggering 19 games at her sophomore stint, with many getting convinced that she’s suffering from the so-called slump. But everyone knows she’s not to be blamed at all. After all, Clark was in perfect attendance from her college stint up until last season, giving her not enough rest.
Indiana HC won’t rush Caitlin Clark’s groin recovery
Speaking on Monday’s episode of NBA Today, Stephanie White made it clear there’s no fast track on Caitlin Clark’s recovery. White added that the Fever are all in on a slow, steady rebuild—getting Clark fully healthy before she steps back on the court. No shortcuts, no excuses.
“It’s day-to-day right now, we’re putting no timetable on it,” White said. “[She is] going through the rehab process, and then we want to reintegrate her from a strength and conditioning standpoint and then get her back to basketball activities.”
“So we’re taking it one day at a time, really slow rolling it, slow playing it this time. The most important thing for us is Caitlin’s long-term health and getting her back to 100% before we put her back on the floor.”

With Caitlin Clark still sidelined, the Fever are set to hunt the Dallas Wings on Tuesday.
