Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and former Las Vegas Aces guard Kate Martin had another playful banter on social media that had fans in stitches. The two former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates trolled each other over Martin’s recently uploaded TikTok video.
In her “Last Day in Las Vegas” video, Martin showed her over 140,000 followers how she makes her coffee. At one point in the video, the former Aces rookie showed off her nails, which Clark saw as an opportunity to take a jab at her former teammate.
“Bro fix [your] nail polish,” Caitlin Clark’s comment said.
Kate Martin was quick to retort, jokingly calling Clark a hater. “Haters gonna hate (they’re so bad),” she replied.
In her second year in the WNBA, Martin will be playing for the league’s newest expansion team, the Golden State Valkyries. The new franchise picked her for their roster in the recent WNBA expansion draft, effectively sending her to the Bay Area.

Apparently, The Golden State Valkyries’ selection of Kate Martin in the WNBA expansion draft held on Friday stirred some sort of controversy. However, Caitlin Clark had nothing but support for her former Iowa Hawkeyes teammate.
The Fever star shared the Valkyries’ Instagram post about them drafting the now-former Aces guard on her Instagram story, adding the caption, “Let’s go Kater!!!!”
Following the expansion draft, Martin was interviewed on WNBA on ESPN and shared her thoughts on being the first draft pick of the newest franchise in the league. She also appeared excited in anticipation of playing under Golden State head coach Natalie Nakase.
“I am really excited, you know this league is all about opportunity and you just need one shot, right,?” she said. “I am very grateful for the Aces and everything I got to learn there, but I am really excited for this new beginning to build something from the ground up here with the Valkyries.”
