Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark won the hearts of young basketball fans, as one viral interview elevated her to a higher pedestal than the biggest NBA names of the generation.

In a viral interview involving teenage basketball fans, questions of whether Caitlin Clark is “better” than NBA stars like Steph Curry and LeBron James were raised, and the answer of the group of young fans proved their high regard towards the WNBA star.
Safe to say these fans think Caitlin Clark is the 🐐!
Clark was back in town Monday for a court unveiling at McCombs Middle School and gave school supplies to 500 students.

During the interview, the young fans exclaimed that they believe Clark is “better than Steph Curry.” When followed up with a question, “even better than LeBron?” the young fans roared in agreement that they, in fact, believe that Clark is on track to become a greater player than the Lakers’ veteran.

Caitlin Clark continued to miss Fever’s games, now fifth game in a row, but her team continued to manage to win even without her superstar presence. The Fever most recently won against the Phoenix Mercury, 107-101.
Sophie Cunningham Gets Honest in Blasting Caitlin Clark Critics
Indiana Fever forward Sophie Cunningham fired back at critics who argue that Caitlin Clark doesn’t deserve to be called the face of the WNBA, branding their views “literally dumb as f**k.” Speaking on the “Show Me Something” podcast, Cunningham insisted that while the league boasts many talented stars, any suggestion that Clark hasn’t been instrumental to its growth is utterly nonsensical.
“It literally pisses me off when people are like, ‘She’s not the face of the league.’ What?! There are really good, well-known people in our league. I’m not discrediting them. We have a lot of badasses in our league. I’m all for that. But when people are trying to argue that she’s not the face of our league, or if our league would be where we’re at without her, you’re dumb as s**t, you’re literally dumb as f**k.”
“What’s playing with Caitlin Clark been like for you?”
Sophie Cunningham: “She’s just goofy. Everyone expects her to be a certain way, and she is on the court… She’s lowkey a kid.”

Clark’s sophomore-year sensationalism has turned her into one of the WNBA’s most explosive players, on the court and off, causing viewership spikes and maxing attendance whenever she puts on the uniforms.
Despite the quantifiable impact she has had, including reports of television viewership decreasing up to 50 percent when Clark didn’t play, there has been some dissenters, including a few players, who have tried to downplay what Clark means to the WNBA, often in efforts to dilute her marketability away from them.
Ever the protective teammate, Cunningham explained that her tough, physical style is partly a response to Clark’s high-profile targeting, emphasizing that Clark’s on-court poise belies the fact that she’s still a 23-year-old kid at heart.

Their synergy has fueled Indiana’s strong start this season, with the Fever posting an 8–5 record and maintaining competitiveness even through Clark’s recent groin injury.
So far this season, Caitlin Clark averages 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game.
