Caitlin Clark continues to prove that her star power goes beyond basketball, making a young fan’s day during Michael Jordan’s exclusive golf getaway event. The Iowa legend, who’s already one of the biggest names in women’s basketball, took some time off to enjoy a few rounds and spread joy off the court.

A young fan named Sailor Duffie shared her unforgettable moment with Caitlin Clark on social media, saying, “What a moment to get to hang out at the golf course with my favorite basketball player @caitlinclark22!!! She’s as nice and humble as you can be. Hopefully one day I’ll be playing with you!”

The post quickly gained attention, with thousands of fans applauding Clark for taking time to connect with her supporters.

The image that Caitlin Clark has painted for herself is something that earned her way to being one of the more well liked personalities not just within the WNBA but well outside of it. Of course, being in an event full of fans, it’s no wonder that CC has been among the people, taking photos and talking about basketball even if it was in the greens.

But even a rising star can be in such awe when standing aside someone so game-changing as Michael Jordan, who was also in the event. While people were admiring Caitlin Clark among the basketball stars, Clark was admiring one of the best, if not the best, in the game.

Caitlin Clark’s influence on getting the WNBA more followers can be compared to MJ’s influence in the NBA getting a global following. Both have reached being the beloved figure behind the league, although CC’s own influence is still in its infancy.

Sailor Duffie looking up to Caitlin Clark can be a beautiful contrast to how CC and many others look up to those before them that built basketball up further than where it was before. And perhaps making a small dream come true for a fan may just be the seeds planted for the future.

Caitlin Clark Praises Michael Jordan’s Legendary Competitive Spirit During Golf Event

During the same golf event, Caitlin Clark couldn’t help but talk about the man of the hour—Michael Jordan. Clark only had kind words to say.

“I know MJ is really competitive with it. The stories about MJ are crazy. He would go play 18 [holes], then show up to the game and drop 35 [points]. I could never do that. Like, that’s a different breed,” said Caitlin Clark.

Her comment immediately caught the attention of fans online, as many agreed that the story sums up Jordan’s legendary mentality. Caitlin Clark has often mentioned how she studies different athletes to learn from their mindset, and Jordan remains a major influence on her approach to competition.
